The double passenger seat is a fixed seat for use by one or two occupants, and comprises two main assemblies; the seat bucket assemblies and the main structure.

The seat is designed to fit floor tracks spaced at 20.75” width, and can be specified for either fore or aft facing configurations. Each seat is equipped with individual cushions which can be upholstered in leather or fabric, has a fixed leather covered headrest and features a TSO C114 approved 4 point harness.

Provision for lifevest stowage is made under both seats, and if necessary additional equipment such as Oxygen mask containers can be mounted in the space between the seats.

The seat has been tested in line with the requirements of TSO C127a / AS8049A but with an increased occupant range (5-95th percentile equipped aircrew). The seat has also completed an environmental test programme.

Restraint System: Fixed 4 point TSO C114 harness with quick release rotary buckle. All straps are adjustable.

Performance: Exceeds static and dynamic test requirements of TSO C127a / AS8049A (14g combined / 16g structural dynamic tests)

Flammability: All materials comply with FAR 25 Appendix F Part 1 burn test requirements and smoke density and gas emission limits specified in Sections 7.3 / 7.4 of ABD0031 (or equivalent documents). Cushions comply with FAR 25 Appendix F Part 2 burn test requirements.

 A high percentage of aircraft crashes are survivable, which is especially true in modern aircraft with robust structures designed to provide the occupants with the maximum level of protection.
